I'm still in a bit of a funk.
The "boot" is getting to me, in so many ways. Despite the "leveler" on the opposite foot, dragging around this cement shoe is causing havoc with my back, hips, amping up the bad knees and my foot still hurts!
Plus, I really miss going to water aerobics. It's been so beautiful outside and I can't full advantage of it!
Saturday, I did try walking with Sam, the kids and the dogs. Not easy pushing a stroller, holding the pups and schlepping my foot! I managed to do a whole mile. Lucky's "bad" leg had her giving up for a ride in her "chariot" after only about 1/2 mile. Once I got back into the house, I was so tired I took a nap.
If I thought that mile walk was exhausting, well, it was nothing compared to the weekly grocery shopping we did with Bryce on Wednesday. We took her to breakfast, the went to 3 markets. By the time we were through with the last one, I was nauseous, seeing spots and in need of a very long rest.
We did have three more errands to do, but they had to wait until the next day. I was down for the count.
Even then, all I did was go along for the ride. Today started with every part of my skeleton system screaming at me to watch out for the pain in the accompanying joints.
This aging thing is not pretty.
Youngsters-you have been warned.
