Is the Isolation Getting to You?

While I can't say that I have not been around humans, I can say I'm getting very tired of the isolation.

Yes, my days are filled with kids, grandkids and doctor's appointments-it feels as if it's been ages since I actually saw a friend in person and sat down for a cup of coffee just to gab!

Now with the impending threat of a more extensive version of this pandemic disease I feel as if I will never be able to just live life. I'm betting many of you out there feel exactly the same!

This past week, Steve had the last of his birthday breakfast coupons at our second favorite restaurant First Watch. Next morning one of our other top five restaurants gave us a $7 off coupon and they are very near where I go to physical therapy. So we went there before the main event and that was the most we have done in probably the last 2 months restaurant wise.

Seeing friends is a challenge. One had his hip replaced. Others do not want to risk just even meeting for a cup of coffee since our local Starbucks had to close for two weeks due to a barista being infected with covid.

Another little glitch is probably not wanting to spend anything unnecessary given the current financial climate of our country.

I have an upcoming day of medical procedures that I am not looking forward to between the preparation and the needed covid testing before the whole event. On the flip side, the thought of spending the morning with actual human beings is almost exciting.

That does sound very sad when you see it in this format.

Hopefully, at some point we will all be able to say we have somehow managed to cross over to the more positive side of things and be able to see people in person. Maybe even a hug?
