what's cooking?

Personally, I don't care about the game.I do like some of the commercials and find them entertaining.  I've always wondered why people think that it's "all that" to go sit at a football stadium.  More often than not, it looks as if it's quite cold and uncomfortable.  I get that you are a big sports fan and enjoy cheering on your team — but you can do that at home with a lot more comfort and less expense.

This statement, I'm sure, causes people to hate me right now.  That's perfectly fine. I also have never watched Game of Thrones, The bachelor/bachelorette, any of the various 90 day fiancees and have given up watching Dancing with the Stars years ago.  I hated the way they treated the hosts.  Even though watching a sports game is not the same as reality shows,  there's got to be a line that I just won't cross.

Unfortunately, our middle grandson usually wants to do a birthday party on Super Bowl Sunday.  It makes for family peace, as well as his happiness, if we all go.  

A couple of years I took one of my crossword puzzle books and was given the fish eye. Sigh.

On the flip of this, I really do want to go see the new movie 80 for Brady.  I love the premise and the actresses are some of my favorites.  All in all, I think that statement is also probably irritating.  But I'm old, I'm not trying to impress and I don't care.  We all have decisions to make about how much popularity means to us.   Mine is just to be me.
