I started out as a broadcast journalist, but fate took its course when I literally fell in love at first sight with my husband of 33 years. I then taught school, of various subjects and age groups and now write about food, health, humor and life.

When I'm 64

Yep. It's official. I am another year older.  

Since I'm now 64, the old Beatles song has been quite the earworm for the last couple of days.

All in all, it was a good day.

Got a lot of birthday wishes on Facebook. Lots of singing from various family members. Also was taken out for coffee by a close friend.

The girls took me for a walk on a picture perfect morning!

And to finish out the day, dinner with the family at our local Barro's pizza place.

Steve and Sarah and the older grands gave me beautiful flowers!!!

Adam, Sam and younger grands got me some much needed slippers and 2 James Patterson books!!!

Outside of my usual aches and pains-this really was a wonderful birthday.
