Slicing, Dicing and All That Jazz

Since my last post I had yet another hand surgery.  As surgery goes, it went quite well.  That's the "slicing and dicing" part...

After the stitches came out (okay, I started before) I began doing my exercises.  Went to the same OT as last time.  She was impressed with my progress.  She did her part and we'll decide next week if I'm good with continuing on my own.  Hand strength is quite minimal.

Four days after surgery, the younger Nadels went to California for a family function.  We took custody of their dogs, in house.  I went down twice daily to feed the three cats.

Not the easiest of feats for a person with half a hand!  Steve handled the litter boxes and water bowls.

The hardest part?  Well, Daisy, our latest Grand pup, wants so very much to be friends with Sunshine.  Sunshine did NOT enjoy being pinned down and given a bath earlier in the month.  She's scared of Daisy.  Wants no part of any type of friendship.

I understand both sides.  The funniest part?  Daisy acknowledges six pound Lucky as the alpha!  So when she tries to get her to play, our deaf old lady barks at her and Daisy automatically lays down flat in front of her!

That's real power people!

Outside of all this "excitement", we've had three brush fires and our high temps have arrived in full force.  Lots of extreme heat and air quality alerts.

Oh, after 12-1/2 years, our neighborhood is getting a Sprouts!!!  I love this place.

Next week is Father's Day.  We'll have a full house, for sure!
