Just What We Wanted, NOT

I'm not at all sure that I had said something about our broken dishwasher a couple of months back?

We had a problem our home warranty company didn't want to take care of and the people they sent, didn't really want to do the job either.

Thankfully Steve is very adept at fixing things.  He ordered the parts courtesy of amazon and put everything back in it's place. Took a couple of YouTube videos.  We held our breath, but it worked.

Then, it happened.

We heard this gigantic noise. We weren't sure at first what it was-just that it was loud and quite disarming.  The only thing we were certain of was that it originated in the kitchen.

Steve saw our "problem" within minutes.  The spring on the dishwasher door broke!

Amazon to the rescue. The spring will be here momentarily. The drawback? Steve is going for his annual visit to see his mom and won't be back till later in the week.

The dishwasher still works just fine. The door though —it's a problem. I'm not going to lie.

Without that spring, the door just drops.  When I say it drops, it's the kind of drop where it can break your foot!  Since my hands are no longer working enough to catch that said door, I have to be extra vigilant.

Right now, I see that I can compare myself with our dishwasher. Both of us look good on the outside. But our insides seem to be falling apart!

Sigh.
