Another Day, Another Doctor

One thing about not working for an actual paid salary-I have plenty of time to devote to visiting all the necessary medical personnel.

In this case, it's my primary doctor.  I was supposed to see her in mid-March, but she got sick and then promoted to director of the clinic side of the place I tend to hang out at.  Basically, she's squeezing her patients in between her boss duties.  The nurse who called to re-schedule my appointment said, and I do quote, "Since your blood work for the rheumatologist came back stable, she's comfortable waiting until her next opening on June 14th".

I pointed out that it was March.  Woman sighed and said she knew but that was the first available.  It's also an afternoon appointment.  I hate going in the afternoon.  The doctor's always late, the waiting room seats are back breakers and then they torment you with a really nice coffee maker and say to "help yourself" knowing you're about to step on the scale!

Anyway, I digress.  This visit is to check how my latest dose of blood pressure medication is doing.  I take my own BP at home at least 3 times a week, so I'm not sure if she'll be impressed or not.  To be on the safe side, I didn't drink that second cup of coffee before water aerobics this morning.

Still had to run to the bathroom after an hour in cold water.

While there I'm hoping she'll re-check my ear.  It's still "stuffing up and popping" and doesn't feel to good when I turn onto the side while sleeping.  Also, the rib is still really, really sore.  Not much you can do about that.  Certainly not going to sit still.  Sitting hurts more.

Have a bit of better news to share!  You all must have said a few really great prayers for our beloved old guy Pepper!  He's actually on my lap now snoozing.  We finally found something other than sodium filled ham that he's eating!  Pureed baby/senior cat pouches, gourmet sardines in evoo and baked chicken.  He also ate unadulterated Friskies chicken and cheese shreds this morning.

He's not eating enough for us to say "Whoa, slow down there guy!"  But he is eating more and keeping it down.  Even ate some dry food and treats!

Whatever prayers you're doing, please keep them up.  What can I say?  We really love this little guy.
