2023-I'm So Not Impressed
I'll be honest, not really enjoying the new year.
Some fun happy stuff has happened. Our older grandsons turned 16 and 15. Oldest got his first job! Bussing tables at a local private speakeasy.
Steve also had a birthday.
However, Sunshine continues to be uncertain about the whole eating thing. The good news is that she's still here and doing as well as possible!
I'm still going to occupational therapy. Wonderful therapist, like her. However, not loving the look she keeps adding to! Day wear: wrist braces called widgets and finger braces to hold off more "imperfections".
But wait! Night time has me sporting elbow pads, compression gloves and a brace on my thumb.
Sexy? I think not.
Then there's this week's "oops"!
My Bundt pan attacked me!
No joke! Split my lip, bruised my teeth and I have been unable to eat and drink without dribbling!
Hoping it heals enough to go out in public soon. In the meantime, I've been wearing a mask when I pick up the kids.
Oh, this has been the worst winter in the 10 years we've lived here. This week alone we've had high winds, hail, torrential rain, freezing temperatures and 2 days where we actually had our normal temps in the mid-70's.
Insert eye rolls and mom glare.
