Whack-a-mole

I mentioned the arcade game Whack-a-mole at the end of last week's blog.  I must say, I still feel like the mole.

Yes, my back is now at the point where I can tolerate the pain without the use of the nauseating painkillers.  I didn't faint at the end of the second round of gel shots to the old knees!  So while those two "holes" seem to have been shut down other holes have opened.

We had not one, not two, not even three-but four fires very close to us this past week.  All four were due to the very hot and dry conditions and the added help of some idiots who thought doing a campfire was somehow a good idea.

If you're lucky enough to not have any breathing issues then you have no idea what this means to those of us who do.

The air was so thick with the smell and look of smoke that just my walking down from our corner to Adam's house made the rest of my week miserable.  Couldn't breathe, couldn't stop sneezing and my eyes were burning out of my head.  The accompanying headache didn't help anything either.

I also had to have two skin biopsies done.  Lucky me, I only wanted her to be aware of the tiny spot that had only shown up the week before the scheduled appointment for the main one that reappeared on my jaw.  Turns out the one on the face was benign.  Yeah!  However, the tiny spot on my arm was NOT.  Now I am to return to have the rest of it frozen and then use three weeks of a chemotherapy cream.

Oh the joy of "Whack-amole".
