Happy Birthday Aidan!

Yep, we are now grandparents to 2 teenagers! Wow! Thank goodness for happy events like watching a child become a young adult. 

I'm stressing this point because last week was another reminder of how, so far, how very unimpressed I am with 2021.

Here's a  TMI warning!

This week had me on the receiving "end" of both an endoscope and a colonoscopy. 

Nothing serious but very uncomfortable. 

The ulcer from last year came back and added  GERD, a hiatal hernia and gastritis.   Oh, add a couple of diverticulitis spots and the need for a rather personal procedure on this upcoming Wednesday morning. 

A close friend and I start each year by saying "this is the year that won't be filled with crap".  Then something happens and we regret voicing the wish.

I like to point out to myself that things could be way worse. I am quite grateful that all the biopsies came back clean. 

Woo hoo for great news!
