Is There an APP For This?

Last year, Adam convinced me I should use the calendar on my phone instead of the hard copy.

I do use it.  I do like the convenience of being able to put my various daily chores down and have it remind me.

The reason for this is that I have quite a schedule to keep.

There is no actual degree or certificate to become a nurse for elderly animals! But if there were- I would have earned it triple fold!

Besides my own three times a day of various prescriptions that I have to time perfectly, I have both Lucky and Sunshine who both need very strict care.

Once the girls have done their outside duties and it's time to get breakfast ready, the fun begins.

Lucky, bless her 13-year-old little body, needs her morning blood pressure medication and her joint and pain medication.

Sunshine, bless her little 11-year-old body, I just hope to get her to eat without an appetite stimulant every other day.  She's supposed to have twice a day a kidney function supplement.

Can't forget her "pee prevention" pill either.

She does not like being given anything.  Let alone something twice a day! And her joint and pain medication?  All I can say is that if I get that girl to eat once a day even a little bit I consider my day a success.

I have to put down what I've given each dog and when so that I don't give them too much or too little of what their requirements have become.

Let us not forget, once the morning dosages have been done. I still have to monitor mine!

In the morning I have to do the first 10 pills and then wait a half an hour before I take one more. After that it's an hour and a half before I can finish.

By 1:00 I am now into the afternoon dosages. Those are for me.   Then somewhere around 4:00, I am now trying to get the one dog to take her appetite stimulant and the other one to slow down eating so fast.

At least at that point I have been able to get her blood pressure and joint and pain medication into her!

Thank goodness!

You can't imagine how many times in a day I hear that little calendar reminding me what it's time to do.

My afternoon dosages begin around 5.
I'm finished somewhere around 8: 30.  The last pill goes to Sunshine.

I'm not sure exactly what good this latest medication does for her.   When we come in in the morning the puppy pads have been used. Sometime several times.

What I need is an app that tells me who I'm giving what to because it really is a full time job.

Dylan stayed at the house for a couple of weeks while Steve and I did our usual anniversary cruise.

According to everyone who was helping him out while he was at school or work, our dogs ate like ladies, took their medication without a problem and they slept, late.

They weren't getting up at 5:00 am!

If all this isn't enough to keep myself busy day in and day out, there are all of those doctors appointments as well as when and where I'm supposed to take my blood work.

Life has become quite tedious.

But I don't think the calendar app is all I need it to be.
