And Just Like That
Every year we wind up thinking the very same thing!
We spent approximately 2 years paying off our anniversary cruise. It gives us something to look forward to while regular everyday life happens.
Then the "time comes", we leave and, all to soon we're back home.
This year was no different in that sense.
We travelled unceremoniously on our 43rd anniversary to the port city and checked in to our hotel. I won't lie-I arrived with a back, knees, neck and hands that made me wonder about our choice.
Thankfully, the property had a great workout room for both of us to get the kinks out. Also, plenty of choices for walking, window shopping, etc...
We boarded the beautiful Celebrity Apex for our first back-to-back. We were pampered, great food, lovely crew and other passengers. Our cabin was not only comfortable, it was nicely decorated.
Our entertainment was top-notch as well.
I was very proud of Steve! He did his thing on the treadmill, while I did my stationary bike, most of the 14 days!
Even though we had the most marvelous time, after 16 days we were missing our kids (both 2 and 4 legged!) and were looking forward to getting home.
Therein lied quite the story to tell! But that debacle is best left for me to tell in next week's blog...
