I Love A/C

Things are looking up around here!

Our new A/C and Forced Air Unit are in and importantly, working!  Yep, a nice cool 76 during all but our special time of "saving hours" between 4-7 p.m..  Granted, those hours coincide with the hottest part of the day-but 78 is very comfortable compared to the 115 outside!  We've also had some nasty fires that are adding had air quality alerts to our high heat warnings.

The new parts for the smoker arrived.  It took Steve a good while to fix, esp. In the extreme heat, but we even managed to use it for family dinner on the fourth of July.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned it but Steve also worked up a sweat putting in the New toilet seat.  We had no a/c at the time and it was 90 in the old homestead.

My 5 shots of lidocaine are still working.  Good thing too as many other parts are not feeling so well.  What else is new?

Outside of an early dinner with the kids our holiday was fairly quiet.  Our community celebration is always done on the third.  We did have some neighbors who were shooting off fireworks.  Didn't last long.Sunshine didn't even need her thunder shirt.  Our Lucky has become quite deaf and has no idea about the noise she missed.

Speaking of deafness, Steve's hearing and went out, again.  Looks like another big expense is about to land.  This is the fourth time in as many months it's being fixed.  He was told average life span is 5 years.  He's on year 7.  He's waiting for a "sale".  Sigh.

Between him and Lucky life is full of both talking loud and repeating myself.  If that's not enough -our grandpa's will be here while our human kids go on vacation.  Lilly's also quite hard of hearing.

Come back next week, I will be hoarse, tired but cool!
