OMG! 65!

It's happened. I'm officially 65.

Parts of me feel closer to 100. That's a factual statement.

Really though, how did I get this old?

I realize that this isn't a milestone everyone receives and I am thrilled I am there. But seriously-what, why, how?

Recently, I caught a glimpse of my face. I swore it was my mom!  Sans the decades old helmet hairdo.

At least I always thought my mom was an attractive older woman.

To celebrate a friend is taking me to coffee.  Always a great gift! While there I'm using free drink to enjoy tomorrow.  Later, since I nixed Steve's idea of making and serving/cleaning up my own birthday dinner, he's taking the whole family to our local (only) Chinese restaurant. 

They're very nice and both the food and service are quite good.

Hey, 65's a big deal-I feel entitled to be served.

So, "new age", I'm ready for this year. May it be a darn sight better than the last few.
