Technical Issues, Again

By now, most of you have realized I am not a technical person in the least.

Hubby, however, loves using it to "make my life easier".  Rarely do I agree that it does.

Recently he and our service provider came to an agreement that they will upgrade our abilities.  Great...

My issue was that the new modem isn't going to be installed for a few days and they already turned off the old box!

What did this mean???  Well, Alexa kept telling me, "I'm having trouble connecting, I'll keep trying".

Basically, I had to cook Steve's breakfast in the dark because I wasn't able to turn the lights on.  At least the stove light on the exhaust fan helped a little.

Also, no internet except on my phone. No internet means: no TV, no computer, no ability to work lighting, etc...

Why is it that making my life easier means I have to endure trying to navigate uniting "old school" techniques with what has become the norm of today?

Obviously, things are working momentarily.  I say this because Steve got the old modem re-opened until he gets the new and supposedly better one up and presumably working on Monday.

Stand by for possible updates
