Amazing

Amazing what you can do with the use of a quarter of hand dexterity if you have no choice.

Surprising even myself-I have managed socks, shoes, putting on yoga pants and several household chores!  The showering and hair washing has been a bit difficult because I am not supposed to "soak" the stitches.

Truth, it has been far from easy!

Honestly, that ice pack the surgicenter gave me got quite the workout several days after it should have-I was pushing myself a bit too hard.  After cutting baby carrots in half for the girls afternoon treat, I realized it was a dumb move.

But wait, I did more!

Somehow I have managed to do several loads of laundry, stack and empty the dishwasher, exercise and take care of feeding not only our fur babies, but our grand pup and 4 grand cats!

Probably TMI, but taking care of Dex includes taking his diaper on and off numerous times a day.

Again, I am impressed with myself since one hand has had surgery. It's swollen and obviously has stitches. The other needs the same procedure-times two.  It's also in a lot worse pain.

I deserve a huge pat on the back!  Right now, I am figuring that I have to draw the line somewhere and "just use my words".

In this case, it's a good thing all I have been going through is on repeat from 12 years ago.  The only difference is that I am a dozen years older and have a lot of  "getting old stinks" issues that have been piled on.

Wishing all Veterans much thanks for all you have done for our country!
