World is Spinning

My world is quite literally spinning.

Monday night I got a dizzy spell.  Tried to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Tried is the operative word.  The room was spinning.  Felt like Dorothy being swept up in the cyclone.

Steve got me to my destination.  The short trip gave me the dry heaves.

Awful, just awful.

By 4:30 a.m., Steve was the one who had to get bossed around by Lucky and pleading sounds from Sunshine.

After a dose of Bonine, (meds for both motion sickness and nausea) I prayed for it to make even the most minute of a difference.  Nope.

Drank some peppermint tea with ginger and took a ginger pill.

That was not a good idea.  EST of the morning had me getting up close and personal with our water closet.  This was easily the worst bout of vertigo I have endured in the last 6 years.

Steve printed up a new set of Epley maneuvers and I started those.  Ew and ugh!

Right back to my private accommodation.

Best part-younger brands were with us all day.  Poor kids!  Grandpa took them for donuts, made pizza for lunch and then asked if KIND bars made a good snack!  I would've laughed but I was just trying not to puke again.

Kids went home.

Then after watching me all day, Steve actually wanted to know if he should grill the chicken I had planned?  Really?  I was happy I kept the ginger ale down.

Probably sounded a tad cranky when I told him I was sticking with just the soda.  Exercises started to do their thing with the help of the second dose of the meds.  Just didn't dare move my head.

Kept this routine up for the rest of the week.  Thankfully, the messy part was over at the end of day two.  Nothing says fun like getting "sick" and having the room spin, violently I might add, at the same time.

Today my goal is to not take the meds, keep doing the "maneuvers" and prep dinner.  Don't worry, whatever it is-I won't even entertain the thought of including any knife skills!
