Why Not?

Amazing.  That's what is going through my mind.

Both Steve and I take medicine for high blood pressure.  Never have we ever had a thought that another family member would have this issue.

Yet, here we are, making sure Lucky gets her twice a day dose to keep her from stroking out.  We also found out that like her younger sister, she has kidney problems.

At least, within a bit of time, I can finally have them on the same food.

Poor Lucky!  The day before we found out about the high blood pressure Lucky was fine-or so we thought...

That day I took her to the vet for her urinalysis and it didn't happen.  Let's leave it at that.  Said we'd come back in a couple of days.

The anxiety of the morning had her taking a long nap.  When she woke up she looked odd.  Kind of wandering but very slowly.

I was busy with household duties for a few minutes.  I realized she wasn't in any of the three dog beds.  The search began.

Where could a 5-1/2 pound, 13 year old pup go?  I found her standing in our bedroom staring at our love seat, back legs together, tail down.

Speed dialed the vet.

Her idea to snap her out of her freeze worked but she still wouldn't work.  Brought her in the next morning to the vet.

Two hours later we had the answer to both the kidney and the weirdness issues.

We started meds right away.

Leaving in a few minutes for her one week BP check.  She'll also be getting her bordatella shot.

It's amazing, no matter how old or how many feet they walk on, worrying about your kids starts at first sight and never ends.
