Sick Bay Report

I'm running quite the "sick" bay around here.

We have the usual routine with Sunshine.  Yes, I'm still making her homemade meals.  Sometimes I am using what's left of my back and hands to get her to eat. It really is a routine.  But, we love her to the moon and back-so it's my pleasure.

Lucky had her rabies/ distemper shots last week.  The next day she started screaming in pain and wouldn't use her left front leg.

We assumed it was from the shot that was given in her neck. Went back to the vet and was told "no" they gave it to her in her back right butt cheek!  After a day in emergency drop off, the problem turned out to be a return of her pinched nerve in her neck.  I am now dosing our poor baby with 3 different medications a day!

The saddest part, Sunshine was very upset about not only being left without her sister for the time I was gone to get the shots, but the whole day she was gone for the evaluation!  So upset that she had 2 accidents!

Lucky was a no mood after the rabies shot to even get kissed on the head. And then when she left for the day and came back and so much pain she also was not thrilled about her sister just wanting to kiss and lay next to her!

Today is getting slightly better. She is using the leg on and off! And she seems to not be screaming near as much.

If that's not enough, Aidan, our middle grandson, had his wisdom teeth removed. But wait, there's more!  Bryce caught a bad, bad cold. Poor thing has all the uncomfortable parts that make life extremely miserable.

I suppose that three homes having a "sick bay" is the universe's way of "sharing the wealth".

Wow 2023 so far, you're so NOT impressing me.
