New Beginnings

We're off to a new type of wedding.  Our niece, Morgan is the bride.

What's new you ask?  The bride has been married since January and the couple is expecting their first child.  Seems to actually be a rather popular way to celebrate nuptials of late.  Our nephew, Lucas, did exactly the very same scenario a few years ago.

Only difference in the upcoming celebration is that Adam will be officiating.  He was supposed to get himself ordained courtesy the internet, but the couple did a city hall visit which made that little part unnecessary.

Our son's best friend did almost the same thing.  He and his wife had a civil ceremony with only parents and siblings and then had a party for their first anniversary.

Given the current theme of "masks on?", we're still a bit leery about being in a room with basically 100 people whom we don't actually know very well-or at all.

Even though I've had the booster, I'm going to be wearing a mask.  Adam, who is still battling the aftermath of the Delta variant is rather nervous.  But we're all looking forward to see our only niece come down that aisle and grow her own little family.

Happy wedding and happy life Morgan Taylor!

Comments:
I was just asking my wife this week when was the last time we attended a wedding. It's been many, many years. My nephew did get married in a small ceremony which nobody knew about. I believe, like your niece, that a formal wedding/party is to take place later.

Glad to see you're doing water aerobics again. My wife LOVES her water aerobics. I attended pickleball clinic this week. I might take that up.

We've noticed more mosquitoes too with all the rain. They're small, bite hard, and are good at avoiding a good swat of the hand.

Poor Steve is the one who has been getting eaten by the pests this year. Usually-it's Adam and I who wind up needing some antibiotics. He actually had broken blood vessels up and down both his shins!
