What is Wrong with People?

This week we saw eldest grandson turning 16!  Hard to believe!  Dylan is now 6'3 and getting ready to get his license.  That is where this story begins.

We all went out to celebrate this monumental birthday.

Somehow, someone was able to clone our card!   Grrr...

We were alerted by our fraud alert company.  Not one, but two charges were made to a veterinary hospital in Massachusetts!  While Steve handled the bank duties, I called the vet in question. They were most grateful, as this was done online and they would have filled and shipped the order.

What is wrong with people??

We all know that when things get tough (inflation, interest rates and businesses shutting down, etc) more experiences like this start happening.  However, is it really worth it, with so many of us have safety nets in line that alert us and catch the fraud so quickly?

It will probably take about a week to clear up the damage!  The saddest part is that whoever did this won't face any repercussions.  They'll probably just laugh and try again.

All we were doing was celebrating our grandson.  Who knew it would result in a crime?

Lately my optimism over the state of the country is fading.

Comments:
Maybe I should get fraud alerts on my credit cards. We haven't had any problems yet though. My son says they run an infirmary at their house with one or more of their kids being sick almost all the time. I'm worried when they come here, either my wife or I will get sick, or both of us which happened at Christmas. My other son has a 15 year old Boston Terrier who requires medication for issues connected with his age. Kids and pets sure can keep you busy. Grandkids too.

I hear you Dave! Just starting the day requires quite a bit of effort to get 1 dog to eat and the other dog not to throw her sister to the side to try and get her bowl as well. But we're actually feeling Pretty good these days about sunshi! Still hand making her food. One med at night-but she's looking and doing pretty darn well!

Lucky has turned into quite the kids bossy pantsπŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›

I watch the younger brands and I'm always worried about "grandstands of germs.

That said, rather have them than alternative
