Evidently, It's MY Turn Again
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate being sick? I must have numerous times since the beginning of this blog. But, be that as it may, here I am again-SICK.
I'm holding my breath (in more ways than one) that this latest bout won't turn into something more than a miserable, snotty cold. However, if we take my past into consideration-it won't help or stop what I'm trying to avoid.
First Sam caught a miserable cold, then it hit Bryce, followed by Steve (who went into broncytis) and then Sunday night I dreamt that my throat was killing me and I kept getting up to drink water. I woke up feeling exhausted from my "dream constitutional" but fine otherwise. Or so I thought.
I got myself together and went to water aerobics. Usually class makes me feel better and the aches and pains don't leave but at least I am not as bad. This did NOT happen Monday.
By 7:30 I was more fatigued than usual and decided to just give up and go to bed. Tuesday morning arrived with my still only getting a half a night's rest. We were pretty busy. Went with Adam and Bryce on errands, took them to lunch and then after I prepped dinner, I took a nap.
A nap! That hasn't happened in about a year, so I knew life was about to get tough. By evening I had a throat that felt raw, my sinuses gave me a headache that made me see spots, a low grade fever ensued.
As if I didn't know it would happen, I was really sick by Wednesday morning and couldn't get to class. Thursday, no walk with the dogs for me. And I finished my week still running a slight fever, a horrible headache, coughing, sneezing and trying to convince myself I've just got an end of summer cold.
Problem? There is no such thing as "just" when you have two autoimmune diseases.
My nose is raw (at least no one sees my red throat) and red, my sinuses are making typing this difficult and my usual high water intake seems to have doubled.
I really hate sick.
