Happy Birthday to My Kids!
Okay, they aren't kids! Okay, they aren't kids! OUr 1st born 1st born, Sarah, will turn 39 (OMG!) on May day. Adam, our youngest is turning 37 this weekend.
I don't know how this happened.
Both are not kids, but they have become adults we are proud to call ours.
Excellent children, excellent parents, wonderful caring humans and each successful in their chosen career.
Really, what more could any parent want?
That doesn't mean I don't worry. They're always going to be my babies! I think it's a universal thing that once you give birth you worry about your offspring.
I am so proud of them, yet I worry:
Are they working to hard?
Is their stress levels manageable?
Are they able to save enough for "in case of..." and retirement???
Sometimes they get a bit miffed because they say I have to stop being a worrywart. That's just not going to happen because I am a mom!
This weekend we celebrate! I'm going to put aside my "mom worries" and put out a special dinner. Hopefully they'll notice my personal efforts on not asking if they are okay on all fronts.
