Just Another Week Here
Have I mentioned how much I am NOT impressed with 2021???
Outside of Jackson's 8th birthday, this was another month filled with crapola.
Valley fever reared its ugly head. My ribs and lungs were once again in a vise. But wait there's more!
My breathing got even worse when I somehow got a horrible sinus infection.
So bad that I was still blowing my nose 3 days after finishing 10 days of antibiotics.
Because of this I had to postpone my second gel shot to my worst knee for a week.
Still that too didn't stop our streak of "fun". A few days later Adam was told one of his colleagues (also vaccinated) came down with the delta variant.
Obviously, this news had all 9 of us heading for rapid testing.
8 of us thankfully came back in the clear.
Adam came back positive!
Thanks to having had the vaccine, he was miserable, but not too bad. He ran a fever for 5 days, congested, had a horrible headache, he still has no sense of taste-but better than those who hadn't had the vaccine.
I, on the other hand, wasn't only given the test, I also was given the booster shot.
In case you are wondering, it hurts. Not just my arm, my whole body. Ran a fever for 2 days and was quite crabby.
And yet, there's more.
Yep. Our youngest pup, Sunshine, caught a bad stomach virus. Read that as: our one area rug in the family room was violated. She cried. I cried. Lucky cried. Steve both cried and was very upset about all the carpet cleaning he was doing.
Thanks to our vet, I brought Sunshine in for a weight check and to pick up meds.
She's on a diet of Jasmine rice and pumpkin.
Oh how I am so over this entire year.
To end on a positive note-I am finally able to sit without a donut shaped pillow again.
Sigh.
