And the Wind Blows

Last week had me announcing that Fall had finally arrived here in the desert.  It was cold! And the wind was howling! Plus, the girls refused to go out for a walk until I put their coats on.

This week, we were back in the 90s with slight breezes.  Absolutely gorgeous weather.

The problem with these weather snaps is that with my incredibly bad spine also snaps!

While I am still carrying on with the morning walks with the girls and water aerobics, it's taking me quite a while to get moving. There are not enough lidocaine patches or Pennsaid gel to help in my pursuit of walking without cringing.

What I do really love about this time of year is that we can finally open up the back door and let some fresh air in! Right now it is 8:00 AM and it is a perfect 75. I don't have to worry about the air conditioner coming on And I can enjoy having something other than re circulating air that has been cooled by coils.

We only get to do this briefly around here. Right now in the middle of fall and again for a couple of weeks in the spring.

So while I am fetching About the state of my back I am still enjoying life.

At least being in the desert you don't have to worry about rain so much. It seems that all we've gotten is rain here in Michigan lately. The weatherman PROMISED no rain on Halloween but that was an empty promise as rain and winds forced us to the cover of the garage instead of handing out treats on our driveway.

I noticed you mentioned water aerobics. My wife does that to help with her own joint and mobility issues but received an e-mail that somebody in her water aerobics tested positive for Covid last week. As a close contact, she now has to monitor for symptoms. By the way, I believe it was the instructor who came down with Covid as she called in sick on Friday, then again for this week.

Just goes to show you that you have to be careful.

Oh no Dave! Will be saying prayers for you and Wendy. Adam is still recovering ❤️‍🩹
As for the"no rain"? We have monsoon season. Last night was dry and 80! Older grands enjoyed going out but younger ones so enjoyed last year's indoor scavenger hunt that they wanted to do it again. Steve and I turned off the lights, took the dogs into the bedroom with us and caught up on what was on the DVR!
