Recovery Takes Its Toll

Travel recovery is getting harder as I get older.

Poor Steve wound up going back to the doctor's because he started wheezing-really bad!  Wheezing is usually my domain but I began using my inhaler right after we came home.

We both felt pretty awful. Just couldn't seem to wake up or feel "right".

At least I had the ability to rest. Our younger brands were with us but are always willing to help.

Somehow we managed to host Mother's Day. Girls brought a couple of side dishes. We smoked a lot of pork shoulder! We obviously also supplied buns, Cole slaw, drinks, etc.

We started early. Everyone went home by 6.

No lie-finished cleaning up, emptied and restacked a second load in the dishwasher, decided at 8 p.m. I needed to go to bed!

We realized this past Sunday that we both were not feeling like something that belonged in the garbage.

Sigh, three weeks and one day!

It was a fabulous trip!  In fact, we both agreed that even though normalcy to come back took longer than the trip, we'd do it again.

Comments:
I love to travel. Thanks for sharing. We've never been to Spain but I wouldn't mind going so I could brush up on my four years of high school Spanish. I've never heard of an ADA approved tour. My wife is in so much pain with her bad knee that she doesn't relish traveling all that much anymore. Maybe I can hitch on to a son's trip again. Or with my brother who is pondering a trip to the Amazon.

Dave, our tours were slower and we were informed about distance, terrain and any steep areas. The hardest part 😂 was getting up and down for the bus! I'm very sorry about Wendy's knees. After the trip I was thinking 🤔 about my latest round of hyluandic acid shots and how disappointed in them .
