December, Wow!

Welcome December!

Honestly, I don't know why I'm welcoming this month?

So far, 2023 has had more ups and downs than I personally have enjoyed.  Hands down, I'm pretty sure that this has been one of the most expensive years in our 42 years of marriage.  And take on that year we were engaged.

Some of those expenses not only hurt us financially, but we're also quite uncomfortable.  Being without an air conditioner in the middle of summer while living in a desert (during the hottest year on record) proved to be quite the testament to our strength.  Most impressive was how our fur babies muddled through.

Then came the "dishwasher" incident.  I can't say doing dishes with both hands being incapacitated for two months was fun.  AT ALL!

Following up with that, my nasty fall 10 days before hand surgery added to the joy this year has brought.  Finally started physical therapy!  Now comes the "Wait and See ".  Will the Duypretrin's contracture mean more surgery on the right hand?  Or, so I get to do the next similar surgery on the left??

If the above wasn't enoughh-I certainly can't leave out the broken molar, root canal, infection experience!  It's But over either.  A couple of weeks ago I realized that no matter what I am chewing -that molar and the two next to it felt as if they were coming out!  Went to the dentist.  Best case scenario, after he removes the crown he can just re-cement. For some reason, it's loose.  Worst case?  It's loose because what's left of the molar has shattered!  I would have to do it all over again to have the rest of the molar removed and then replaced.   Grrr.

Oh, he can't do anything until January 4TH.!

Until then?  Back to steaming my lunch veggies and try not to chew on that side.

But wait! There's more!  Our grand-daughter will be having her long awaited tonsilectomy/adenoidectomy surgery.

Please, say a few prayers for her.

Trust me, 70 is no fun. But it sounds like you've already experienced the aches and pains that go with it. And I'm envious of those workouts and walks. If only I had the energy to do it. And we had to suspend our ocean cruises since the missus has not only trouble with stairs, but standing or walking any length of time. Hope your holidays go better and 2024 shows some improvement in your physical condition.

So sorry about Wendy! Our Transatlantic We took Only Adaptive tours.Thankfully I keep my self very physically fit for a person in my condition! Lol
That's sad ,We just booked a cruise for 2026 —We found that we could get a handy capped room which would make things even easier than before and give us more space So I wouldn't even Lose balance and hit into the walls Hurry.Let's hope we all have a better 2024Expos explanation mark
