Happy Birthday, Dylan!

Somehow, I am now the proud grandma to a 17-year-old young man!  In 9 days, I will add a 16-year-old to the queue!

I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  It really does seem that just a few days ago I was writing an entry about becoming a grandma for the first time.

Right now, Sarah and the boys are on an Antarctic cruise.  Dylan FaceTimed me yesterday! At least I got to wish him happy birthday "in person"!  Thank you technology!
He was all dressed up (shirt and perfectly knotted tie).  He had just come back from interviewing the lead engineer of the ship for his engineering project in school. Nice birthday gift!  It took several days for this to be accomplished!

Some days, I am completely amazed by the fact that my life is so rich in family that all started with a self made blind date.

But, I digress - this is about Dylan and his becoming another year older!

May it turn out to be everything you wish for and more.  My hope is you have only good health, happiness and wonderful opportunities!

I love you to the proverbial "moon and back" !

You have to feel blessed when you have happy and healthy grandkids. So many of our friends do not have one grandchild, let alone eight as we have. And they DO grow up so quickly. When I first retired I used to watch our first grandchild who was about three at the time. He just turned a teenager this month. You got snow there in Phoenix? It needs to warm up soon as We're planning a trip south and west to escape this wintry weather we're having in Michigan.

Believe me , we are more than blessed with the fact that the grandkids are all healthy and we're amazing and how fast the years have gone. I remember when you said you were watching your grandkids! And then suddenly hear they are young adults.A s for visiting us-The snow is almost unable to stay on the ground from more than 5 minutes the 1 time we had ITLOL. And the last 3 days we have been in the upper 70s to load 80's! Then tomorrow and friday we'll be in the mid 60s with more rain........
