Hard to Bounce Back

This is hard.  It's been 2 months since we are no longer pet parents.  Chokes me up, just trying to write this post. 

Our daughter tried to shake me out of this depression by working a week to include me on a family vacation to Alaska. 

Steve was going to go with them and I was going to remain at home with Lucky. 

It was a wonderful vacation and we had a good time despite the freezing cold and rain. But we saw majestic views, two types of whales, seals, bald eagles, and so much more. 

Then we came home to a very empty house.
